Sunny Studio Birthday Shaker Card

Hello everyone! Today I'm sharing a birthday themed shaker card. The Rounded Rectangle Window dies from Sunny Studio make it super easy to create a frame with faux stitching which can be used for shaker cards. 

I used the second largest Rounded Rectangle Window die in the set to create a frame for my shaker window. I constructed the shaker element in the traditional way by adding a panel of clear acetate behind the window. Then I added some skinny strips of foam tape behind all sides of the frame to create the shaker well.

Onto a white A2 size card base, I stamped the words "happy birthday" at an angle towards the left side. I used pastel clay sprinkles as the shaker bits and carefully placed them onto the center of the card. I then adhered the acetate frame overtop. 

Next was the fun part of adding all the decorations to the outside of the shaker. I used cupcakes from the Scrumptious Cupcakes stamp set. I die cut some little flowers and leaves to embellish even further. These die can be found in the Basic Mini Shapes 2 and Basic Mini Shapes 4 die sets.

Ocean Breeze, Aquamarine, Mermaid Cove, Soft Lilac, Candy Violet, Ballet Slipper, Sparkling Rose, Lemon Whip, Sunshine. 

Waffle Flower Crafts Hey Cupcake Release

Sunny Studio Spring Greetings Card

Hi everyone! It's usually this time during the winter months that I start to get really anxious for spring. I just couldn't resist brightening my spirits and craft desk with creating a card with a pretty spring color palette.  

I have used a mix of Sunny Studio products for this design including the new Basic Backgrounds 2 stamps. Instead of using the grid pattern stamp to create a background, I have used it to give the little envelope a subtle pattern. After die cutting the envelope, I stamped the pattern before folding and adhering the bottom and sides. 

Here are the additional stamps and dies I've used to create this card: 

-Rounded Rectangle Mat dies (I used the largest in the set)

-Gift Card Envelope dies (for the envelope and hearts)

-Lovely Lilacs stamps & coordinating dies

-Big Bunny stamps & coordinating die (for the greeting)

To stamp the lilacs, their foliage, and the greeting, I used some Pink Fresh Studio inks. The pink shades are Ballet Slipper, Sparkling Rose, & Bubble Gum. The green shades are Fresh Pear, Grassy Knoll, & Key Lime. 

Honey Bee Stamps Pet-Tastic Release

Hi everyone! Honey Bee Stamps has a new release available and it's all about pets. There will be an Instagram Hop on Monday the 3rd when the design team will be sharing lots of project inspiration.  Until then I thought I would share a card I made with one of the new stamp sets that's designed for all the cat lovers out there. The Meow & Furever set is loaded with images of the sweetest little kitties you ever did see. 

This card features one of the large images in the Meow & Furever set. I Copic colored the image and then used the coordinating dies to cut out. It makes a wonderful focal point and all I needed to add was the greeting (also included in the set). 

Here are the additional Honey Bee products I used to create this design:

- Scalloped Edge Ovals for the yellow scalloped oval mat.

- Double Stitched Ovals for the white oval mat that I've inked up with a light blue and light green. 

- FreeBee A2 Card Size Pattern Paper Pack for the blue floral pattern paper. (this paper pack is a free item you can get with a minimum purchase order on the Honey Bee website)

Sunny Studio Mini Slimline Birthday Card

Hello Everyone! Today's card has a birthday theme and features a cute image from the Doggone Birthday stamp set from Sunny Studio. I have used a more masculine color palette with shades of yellow, brown, and blue which is a departure from my usual pink heavy designs. It's refreshing to change it up once in awhile!

The Sunny Studio supplies needed to recreate this card are the Doggone Birthday stamp set & it's coordinating dies plus the Perfect Gift Boxes stand alone die set. 

I started with a kraft card base measuring 6 inches by 3.5 inches. I added a white panel trimmed a bit smaller than the card base. I used a paper punch to angle the corners of this panel.  

After I had my stamped images colored and die cut and the gifts assembled, I played around with the arrangement while keeping in mind where to stamp the greeting. This is usually how most of my cards get created. I have a general idea of the design prior to starting, then after all my design elements are ready, I play around with composition before adhering everything in place permanently. It's all part of my creative process!
