Scrappy Tails Crafts Winterscape Pop Up Card & Early Black Friday Sale

Hello everyone! I'm sharing a very fun wintery pop-up card I've created with some new dies from Scrappy Tails Crafts. I have posted a reel over on my Instagram account showing this pop-up in action. The card does fold up nicely so it's totally mailable and perfect for someone special on the nice list.

There is a discounted bundle offered for a limited time in the Scrappy Tails shop that includes the dies I've used for this card. -->click here for the Winterscape A7 Tripfold Pop Up Bundle<--

If you've never made a pop up scene like this, don't be intimidated. These sets really make it easy to do! Here's a list of all the die sets I've used:

A7 Trifold Pop Up Card Base dies - This set includes the dies to make the large arched shape for the back, the bottom base piece, plus tabs and bridges to create a pop up scene. Be sure to check out this video Sabrina posted over on the Scrappy Tails YouTube channel. She shows how to make a pop up similar to this and the trifold pop up version.

Winterscape Trees & Deer dies - for the deer, pine trees, and winter wishes sentiment

Winterscape Deer Silhouettes dies - for the smaller white trees

A7 Fall Tree Pop Up Card dies - for the arch way with large white trees in background plus snowdrifts

Below is a look at the card folded up. It slides right in to a slimline envelope.

Below are my creative notes and a few other supplies I used to make this card.

I used a limited color palette for this scene. The base pieces and bare trees are Neenah 110lb Classic Crest card stock. The background is kraft that I have frosted with white pigment ink. The pine trees are two shades of Concord & 9th card stock - Juniper and Rainforest. The deer are a dark kraft from American Crafts. I used Copic markers to darken the antlers and hooves.

I've splattered the trees and background with thinned white paint to give this scene a very snowy look. I also added Rock Candy Distress Glitter to areas on the trees and snowbanks.

I had some small clay snowflake shapes so I decided to add a few of those randomly throughout the scene.

Thanks for stopping by today. Any questions, just drop them in the comments. And if there's any older Scrappy Tails sets on your wishlist, now is the time to shop their early Black Friday sale through the 25th. Click here to shop!
