It’s time for Papertrey Ink’s August release countdown! This month the focus is on all things fall. There’s so much fall goodness packed into this release, including Halloween and Thanksgiving themes. The release will be available on August 29 at 10 PM ET.
The first card I have to share features the new Exquisite Leaf Frame Hot Foil Plate and Fresh Florals stamp set. (New products will be linked once the release is live)
I started this card by ink blending a soft peachy background to foil the leaf frame onto. I used a metallic dark brown Glimmer Foil called Espresso Bean from Spellbinders. With the Into the Blooms Pumpkin dies I created the two white pumpkins with a touch of olive toned ink blending around the edges of each layer. I adhered each layer together with thin foam strips to get a bit of separation between the layers and add dimension.
I adorned the pumpkins with a variety of the pretty floral images from the Fresh Florals stamp set. I then stamped a greeting from the set in the upper right corner. Papertrey Ink colors used for ink blending and stamping are as follows: Orange Zest, Olive Twist, Melon Berry, Canyon Clay, Prairie Grass, and Autumn Rose.
Next, I have some fun Halloween projects to share, created with the new Frightful Frames dies and Spooky Treat Labels stamp set. These new Halloween sets are perfect for decorating treat boxes and adding fun sentiments to Halloween party invitations or note cards.
I used the Scalloped Treat Box die to create a fun little box to hold Halloween goodies. The box measures 4x4x2 inches when assembled. This is a great size to hold a bag of candy or homemade treats.
For this festive Halloween card, I’ve added lots of fun layers and embellishments. The flowers were created with the Into the Blooms Gerber Daisies. I used Villainous Potion Distress Oxide ink to color all the petals. I applied the ink darkest on the back layer going lighter towards the front. I added some Stickles Glitter to the flower centers. The whimsical background is stenciled. I used one of the Night Sky Background stencils.
Join me here again tomorrow for day 2 of the release countdown!
