Purple Onion Designs - New Release - Pine Cone Trail

Hello everyone! It's an exiting day... Purple Onion Designs is launching a new release today.  The collection is called Pine Cone Trail and it's all about wintery fun.  There's lots of cute critters in this collection all illustrated by Stacey Yacula.

For a limited time, the stamps in this collection will be offered in a bundle at 30% off.  The bundle price is $85.00 and is available until November 8th.  After that, the stamps will only be available individually. Use the link below:

I have two cards to share today showcasing some of the new images.

This first card is a slimline skating pond scene measuring 3.5 tall by 8.5 inches long.  I used the Frozen Pond scene stamp to create the background imagery.  The stamp is only 6 inches long so to extend the scene to the full length of the card, I simply used a black Copic friendly pen to draw in longer snow bank lines.  I masked off the snow banks and trees to do some ink blending on the pond and sky areas.  I then generously splattered the entire background with white paint to give the look falling snow. I also splattered the frozen pond with aqua paint.

I added a few cute critters to the scene. Some hockey players and two cheering spectators.  They are listed and linked below:

I added some extra trees to complete the scene.  I stamped and fussy cut trees from the Home Sweet Home horizon stamp.  They were the perfect size and scale to add to the scene.

The next card features a cabin porch scene with two cozy critters enjoying some hot cocoa after an afternoon of sledding.

I started by stamping the Cabin Background.  The original image includes a door but I wanted this scene to have a fireplace so I masked off the door when inking up the stamp. To fill in the area where the door was, I used a black pen to draw lines to match the siding.

To complete the scene, I used several different stamps to give this porch a warm and cozy holiday vibe.

Lastly I added a stamped greeting.  This greeting comes from the Warm Winter Sentiment Set.

Sunny Studio - Feeling Frosty Family Card

Hi friends! I have quick and easy holiday card to share today that features a gathering of adorable snowman images from the Feeling Frosty set.  This card is A2 size and I've covered the card front with a colorful stripe pattern from the Very Merry paper pad.  I die cut two scalloped square tags to house my snow family grouping and greeting. I masked off the scalloped edges and blended on some light blue ink to the center of the tags.  I picked several of the snowman images from Feeling Frosty to fill the large tag.

I grouped the snowmen together like they were posing for a family photo.  The Feeling Frosty set has sentiments to build some custom greetings.  I choose one that's very appropriate for this family themed card. I die cut a little heart to place just below the stamped greeting.  Lastly I added some snowflake sequins and a twine bow to the small tag.

Spellbinders - Wreath Slider Card - Club Kit Sale

There's a big sale going on right now in the Spellbinders shop.  They are offering up to 40% off a selection of past Club Kits.  I'm sharing a card I created with one of the sale kits - Festive Wreath Slider Card Large Die Kit. All dies needed to create this style card are included in the kit.

I created a colorful wreath of snowflakes to adorn the front of this slider card using the tiny snowflakes die.  To give the snowflakes their vibrant colors, I used some Nuvo Shimmer Powders.  I simply took a large piece of Bristol card stock and colored with two different Shimmer Powders - Cherry Bomb & Atlantis Burst. I then die cut the snowflakes from this panel giving me a range of different color intensities to work with.

I also die cut some snowflakes from Sugar Crystal Glitter Card.  I layered lots of snowflakes randomly onto two half circle wreath bases to form a full wreath. To add just a bit of bling, I adhered some Crystal Gems to the center of a few snowflakes.

I've combined a few of the new holiday products to create my card for today. They are all listed and linked below:

I have Copic colored the gnome to coordinate with the overall color scheme of the card.  I die cut the wreath from two different shades of green card stock to layer together and give the look of a nice full wreath.  The gem stickers were a quick and easy way to add berries to the wreath plus they aren't too flashy and take away from the rustic vibe of the card.  I also want to note that the kraft colored paper from the Log Cabin pad already comes printed with the white splatters and snowflakes.

Tonic Studios Wonderful Wishes Online Party

Hello crafty friends! I'm joining Tonic Studio's Wonderful Wishes online party today. We are celebrating the launch of their Christmas release.  It's a very fun release full of cute Christmas and winter stamp sets.  I've made three cards using one of them but first let me share some special links for 10% off your Tonic Studio purchase. The 10% off will automatically be added to your cart at check out.

Now let's get to the cards I've made.  All three cards are A2 size and feature images from the Christmas Snow Globe set.  Christmas Snow Globe is an 8x6 inch stamp set fully illustrated by artist Tonia Tkach. The set contains 22 individual stamps including a large snow globe, trees, cute characters, and sentiments. I've listed and linked all the Tonic Studio products used below each card. So without further ado....

First up I created a simple little scene and ink blended background to showcase the fun Santa and snowman images in the set.

For my second card, I created a small shaker window but fussy cutting the inner part of the snow globe image out and filling with some pretty glitter and confetti.

This last card features a collage scene of holly and berries plus some presents and a little mouse.  I used multiples of theses images to fill the space across the card and then used a border of patterned paper to cover the bottom.

Thanks for stopping by today and be sure to check out the Party Gallery over on the Tonic Studios blog. Happy crafting! :)

MFT & Friends - October 2019 Release

Hello everyone! It's time to shop MFT's October release! If you've been following the release countdown then you already know there's a lot of fun holiday themed products to choose from this month.  I have three projects to share today showcasing some of the fabulous new stamps and dies. First up is festive holiday card featuring a die cut wreath with a super cute little reindeer peeking out from the center.

I started with a Kraft A2 size card base. I used white pigment ink and a blending brush lighten the center of the card front.  I splattered with white paint and stamped a few snowflakes images.  To build the two tone wreath, I used the Joyful Wreath Die-namics. The reindeer, bird, and candy cane images are from Reindeer Games. The fun sentiment is also from that stamp set.

This next card features a cute crew of holiday critters from the new Stacey Yacula Merry Wishes stamp set

This card is A6 size.  Again I used a Kraft card base and blended white pigment ink all around the outer edges.  I wanted to try something a little different with this scene.  I arranged the critters around the large greeting which is stamped using the Merry Christmas Blend set. I added a little dimensional detail to the background with gloss white Crystal Nuvo Drops.  I added Silver Glitter Nuvo Drops to the string decor on the tree.

For my last project, I created a wine bottle tag adorned with one of the new Christmas Crew Die-namics.

I started with the Wine Tag base. I created the elf using the Girl Elf Christmas Crew Die-namics.  I added the Wine Glass Shaker and a fun sentiment.  The sentiment is from the Sassy Pants Holidays Too stamp set. As an extra bit of embellishment, I added some foliage sprigs and berries.

Visit each of the October Product Launch posts linked here and leave a comment by the end of the day on Thursday, October 10, for your chance to WIN one of two, $100 MFT Shopping Sprees. The winners will be chosen at random and winners will be announced October 11.
