Hello everyone! Today's card features some adorable images from the Toasty Hugs Stamp Set. I've made a 4.75 inch square card to house a little snow globe with these winter cuties all bundled up and ready to play in the snow.
Here are the Sunny Studio supplies needed to recreate this card design:
- Toasty Hugs stamps - for boy & girl images plus the sentiment
- Snowmen in Sweaters stamps - for tree images
- Stitched Semi-circle dies - for globe dome
- Woolen Mitten dies - mitten cuff die for globe base
- Snowflake Circle Frame dies - for snowflakes
- Scalloped Squares 2 small dies - largest in the set for white scalloped mat
- Stitched Square dies - for square mat
I used the middle size Semi-circle die for the globe part of my snow globe. I die cut it from white card stock then blended on the aqua blue ink. I splattered with thinned white paint to give it the snowy look. I then hand cut a little snow drift to layer onto the bottom of the semi-circle. I used the mitten cuff die to create the base with silver glitter card stock.
I adhered the Copic colored images and stamped the sentiment. To complete the snow globe, I tied some twine around the base and added a few snowflakes for embellishment.
If square card formats aren't your thing, this snow globe certainly can be used on an A2 size card base instead. Just fill in the extra space with more snowflakes.
Here are the Copic colors I used on the stamped images: pink - R30, R22; light green - G40, G43; dark green on trees - G43, G46; shading on white areas - C1, C3; brown - E41, E42, E44; flesh tone - E000, E00, E21
