Hello Bluebird Happy Fright Night Scene Card

Spooky season is almost upon us! October is absolutely my favorite month packed with so many fun things to look forward to.... sweater weather, all things pumpkin, and of course Halloween!

I'm sharing a spooky sweet Halloween card today that again features a little pink included in the color palette.  For this scene I've used Hello Bluebird's Boo Crew stamp set and Full Moon Scene die.  And speaking of a full moon, I tried out the Tim Holtz Moon Mask for the first time. I'm so impressed with the results! It totally looks like the real thing!

Here is a break down of all the Distress Oxide inks I used to create a glowing full moon background:

--> Squeezed Lemonade for the moon and glow around it
--> Blueprint sketch to fill in the rest of the background
--> Black Soot around the edges and to add the darker spots on the moon

I splattered the background with some white pearlescent water color paint before adding anything else.  You can't see it in the photos, but the pearlescent splattering adds a nice bit of sparkle and shine just like the real stars.

I Copic colored the images from the Boo Crew set.  I must say, I'm loving pink for Halloween cards. It adds such a sweet and whimsical vibe which is completely my style.

I die cut the spooky tree and ground from black card stock.  The black is a great contrast to the pink and helps keep scene feeling more Halloweenish.

The greeting comes from an older set called Spooky Script. It has some great Halloween sentiments and small images like the bats I stamped on the moon.

That's all from me today! Hope I given you a little Halloween inspiration.  Thanks so much for stopping by!
