Now on to the card I've made for today. It's no secret that I love a good slimline card. I was so excited to see some awesome new slimline dies in this new release. I've used one of them to frame up a collage of tropical florals and floilage.
My slimline card base measures 8.5" long by 3.5" tall. I used several dies from the Tropical Bouquets Honey Cuts to create lots of leaves and Plumeria flowers to fill the front of the card. I used an ink smooshing technique to color panels of water color card stock and then cut out the shapes from that.
For the pink and orange panel I used Picked Raspberry, Ripe Persimmon, and Wild Honey.
For the green panel I used Twisted Citron, Lucky Clover, and Peacock Feathers.
I arranged all the leaves randomly with some going off the edge. Then I spattered the card front and leaves with some thinned green paint. I added the plumeria flowers which a two layers for a fun dimensional look. Lastly I added the scalloped frame and hello which are from the Slimline Sentiments Eyelet Honey Cuts.
I've made a few other cards showcasing more fun stamps and dies from the Hello Summer Release:
This card features the new "free bee" with a $75 purchase.
To create this Hawaiian inspired card I've used the Tropical Bouquet Honey Cuts, the Luau Stamp Set, Wish You Were Here Stamp Set, and Slimline Sentiments Honey Cuts.
This fun summer card features the Flip Flop Builder Honey Cuts and Flippin' Fabulous Stamp Set.
I created this dreamy beach scene with the Hello Summer Stamp Set.
