I also have some inspiration to share. I've made three cards showcasing two of the new stamp sets.
First up is a snowy slimline scene featuring sentiments and images from the Calm and Bright stamp set.
To set the scene of a quiet winters evening, I used five layers of glittery edged snow banks against a dark teal sky. To get that beautiful shade of teal, I blended together a combo of Catherine Pooler Daydream and Skylight inks. I generously splattered the sky with thinned white acrylic paint to get the look of snowfall. I stamped the sentiments and then added several paper punched snowflakes.
I Copic colored trees and sleeping critters and then used a Scan N Cut to cut them out. I adhered them with THIN 3D foam squares from Scrapbook Adhesives. The thin foam squares are 1mm thick and add the perfect amount of dimension without making the card too bulky for mailing.
Next up are two pocket shaker cards featuring the playful images from the Snow Buddies stamp set. Again I Copic colored the images and used the Scan N Cut. If you want to use a Scan N Cut to cut out your colored images then be sure to have it set to the color mode in the cut settings. That's important especially for images like the hedgehogs.
I wanted to add some stamped snowflakes to the outside of the clear pocket. I used Cotton White StazOn Ink to stamp the snowflakes. When stamping on a slick surfaces, it's easy to smudge the image if you press down too hard. The stamp can slip a little. Luckily StazOn Ink can be removed with stamp cleaner if you make any mistakes. The ink dries very quickly and holds up well on the clear storage pockets.
