Reverse Confetti - September Release Blog Hop

Hello everyone! I'm joining the Confetti Crew and guests for another fabulous release blog hop.  You can find the entire September Release here. I instantly fell in love the fall themed stamp sets in this release and have made two cards to share with you today.

Your next stop on the hop is Amy Tsuruta's blog. The full blog hop line up is listed below... you don't want to miss any of the beautiful projects that everyone has made for today's hop.

The first card I'm sharing features the gorgeous images from With A Thankful Heart. It was the name of this set that inspired my card design.  I wanted to combine die cut hearts with the large pumpkin image to fill the space across a slimline format.

I used the smaller die in the Patterned Hearts Confetti Cuts to cut out three hearts from white card stock.  I then used a variety of orange and red inks to create a custom color blend on the hearts.  I Copic colored the the pumpkin and three floral clusters then cut them out with the coordinating With A Thankful Heart Confetti Cuts

I prepared a slimline card base, that measures 3.5" wide by 8.5" long, by lightly ink blending some Bundled Sage Oxide ink along the bottom half.  I splattered it with dark brown paint and added heat embossing to the edge with Ranger Gold Tinsel embossing powder.

I added the hearts, small floral cluster, and pumpkin across the length of the card front.  I stamped the greeting from With A Thankful Heart onto a die cut banner shape to adhere right over the middle of the pumpkin.  Lastly I added some Crystal Nuvo drops for embellishment.

For my second card, I used the super cute Halloween Gnomes stamp set to create a fun scene for another slimline design.  The images in this set make it easy to build a complete scene. I used every image in the set (some more than once) except for the Wizard gnome. I really wanted to include him because he's so adorable, but I ran out room.

I started by creating a Distress Oxide ink blended background - Wilted Violet and Chipped Sapphire for the sky and Forest Moss for the ground.  I then used a little Black Soot around the edges to darken it a bit. I also splattered the entire background with thinned black paint.

I Copic colored all the images and used the coordinating Halloween Gnomes Confetti Cuts to cut them out.  I was able to fill the slimline space very easily with all the images to create a fun Halloween scene. I was mindful of how I arranged them so I would have room to add a sentiment strip at the top of the scene towards the right side of the card.  I combined two sentiments from the Halloween Gnomes set to build my custom greeting.
