Honey Bee Stamps - Autumn Blessings Blog Hop Day 2

Hello everyone and welcome!

For today's blog hop, we are showcasing the fabulous products from the Autumn Blessings Release.  If you love creating festive fall and Halloween projects like I do, then you will find some new must have stamps and dies in this collection.

***Be sure to leave a comment on every stop along the hop for a chance to win a $50 gift card to the Honey Bee Stamps store. You're next stop will be Jana Millen's blog (full blog hop line up for day 2 is listed at the end of this post)

I'm sharing a card today that features an autumn arrangement with hint of Halloween fun.  I created the arrangement using the Fall Bouquets Honey Cuts.  I instantly fell in love with this die set.  The possibilities are endless for making beautiful bouquets, arrangements, or wreaths.

I started with an A2 sized white card base. I used a gingham pattern from the new Harvest Festival 6x6 paper pad to create a border behind the main background panel.  The purple background is a blend of Milled Lavender, Seedless Preserves, and Wilted Violet Oxide Inks.  I die cut all the elements for the arrangement from colored card stock and then used Distress Ink and Copic markers to add shading and details to each piece.

I stamped the greeting, YOU ARE faBoolous from FaBOOlous Sentiments,  directly onto the pumpkin with black ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  I find this results in a more intense black with a glossy finish. I adhered  the arrangement to the background panel with dimensional foam squares.  Lastly I added a bakers twine bow the arrangement and a few tiny orange gems.  The tiny gems are from the Perfect Petals Gem Stickers set.

Pinkfresh Studio August Release Blog Hop

Hello friends! Today I have the pleasure of joining the Pinkfresh Studio team and guests for a blog hop celebrating their August release.  I received some pretty stamps and dies to create with and have made two cards to share with you, but first let's take care of some blog hop business.

You should be arriving from Lea Lawson's blog and your next stop will be Norine Borys' blog

Pinkfresh Studio will be giving away the full 2019 August release on the Pinkfresh Studio blog and their Instagram feed.  In addition, you can win a $25 gift card to the Pinkfresh Studio shop by leaving a comment below.  Winners will be posted to this GIVEAWAY PAGE on Monday, September 2nd.

Now on to the cards I've made :)

This first card features a large die cut greeting that I've framed and placed over a collage of beautiful stamped floral images.  To create the letters that spell the word hello I used the lower case Kelly Alpha die set. I then used a die from Pretty Frames to cut out a decorative label shape for the greeting.

I stamped out a bunch of flowers and foliage from the Lovely Blossoms stamp set and then die cut with the coordinating dies. I arranged the flowers and foliage around the outer area of my card front. I then adhered the greeting panel overtop with dimensional foam tape and added a sprinkling of Nuvo Dream Drops amongst the flowers.

For the second card I used the Modern Blooms die to create a pretty backdrop for the inspiring sentiment.  I die cut the Modern Blooms design twice from heavy weight white card stock and then adhered them together.  I adhered this thick die cut to a panel of card stock and used Nuvo Jewel Drops (Keylime & Honeysuckle) to fill in the spaces of the roses and foliage. This created a stained glass look.

I love the unique sentiments in the new No One Compares To You stamp set.  I chose my favorite and heat embossed it onto some vellum.  I used Rose Gold embossing powder from WOW.  I then adhered the vellum overtop the Modern Blooms piece by using tiny glue dots. To embellish the card, I tied a piece of bakers twine around the left side of the card front and added just a few Nuvo Crystal Pure Sheen Gemstones.

Now on to the cards I'm sharing today. I made two cards featuring the adorable images from Celebrate Life and Celebrate Friendship stamp sets.  These are large 6"x8" sets that are jam packed with cute critters and accessories for them.

For this first card I used Celebrate Friendship.  I wanted to build a country scene with the cow and sunflowers.  I loved the little bees and apples so I included those too.

For the greeting I used the Celebrate Sentiments set which coordinates perfectly and has some fun puns to go with the animals.  The red mat for this card is Tonic's Candy Red Classic Card which I think is a perfect shade of red for fall and holiday cards.

I used the Nuvo Alcohol Markers to color all the images.  The white card stock I used is Tonic's Ultra Smooth Card. The Nuvo Alcohol Markers blend beautifully on the this super smooth card stock.

For my second card, I wanted to create a party scene using the playful images in the Celebrate Life set.  This card is a slimline design that measures 3.5" wide by 8.5" long.

This scene came together easily and was so fun to build. There are many different clothing and accessory options for the animals. I love the versatility of these sets.  For coloring these images I again used the Nuvo Alcohol Markers. (Rosy Pinks, Royal Purples, Marina Blues, Emerald Seas, Irish Clover, Sunshine Yellows, Fair Skin Tones, Apricot Ombre, Rich Reds, Natural Browns, Pebble Beach, Stromy Greys)
