Hello Bluebird - Portrait Pals Birthday Card

Hello and happy Friday! I have one more birthday card to share this week and it's a special one!
This one is for my son who's turning 10 soon.
I used some of the adorable animals from Portrait Pals to create a fun little party scene.

I started with an A2 card base.  I blended on some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink for the sky area.  I used a die from Grassy Knoll to create the grassy hill where the animals will be peeking out from.  I used a blend of Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn to add color to the hill.

I stamped and Copic colored images from Portrait Pals along with party accessories from Greetings Bear.  I arranged the animals to look as if they have just sprung up from behind the hill to say "surprise!"  There was a space above the monkey and elephant that I thought needed something so I die cut a speech bubble from the Photo Stack die set and stamped the "go wild" from Jungle Littles

I used sentiments from Cherry Greetings to stamp "birthday boy" and 'it's your day".  The big hello was created using a die from Gallery Frame #1.  I die cut the hello from black fun foam and black card stock and adhered the two together.  I then carefully traced over it with some Glossy Accents to give the die cut a nice shiny and raised finish like a puffy sticker.

Pink & Main - 5th Birthday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome! I'm thrilled to be joining Pink & Main's 5th birthday celebration and blog hop.
Your next stop on the hop will be Ilina's blog.  I have shared the full hop list at the end of this post in case you've missed anyone.  There's a fabulous giveaway too... be sure to leave a comment on each blog for a chance to win.  There will be five winners chosen and each winner will receive a $50 Pink & Main store credit.

Now on to the card I'm sharing today...
I used the new Party Balloons stamp set and dies along with the Celebrate stamp set and dies.

This card is a slimline design that measures 8.5 inches long by 3.5 inches wide.  I started by blending some aqua ink onto the front of the card.  I kept the blend heavier at the top and lighter towards the bottom.  I stamped out several of the different balloons and then die cut with the coordinating dies.  For the aqua colored balloon, I heat embossed the confetti pattern with Ranger Silver Tinsel embossing powder.

Once I had decided on the placement of all the balloons, I stamped the strings directly onto the card front with dark gray ink.  I then adhered the balloons with foam squares.  I trimmed a skinny strip of dark gray card stock and white heat embossed the stamped part of the sentiment leaving a gap for the die cut celebrate.  For a little more sparkle, I added some silver iridescent gems.

Be sure to check out Pink & Main's new release available!

Reverse Confetti - March Release Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends! Welcome to the Reverse Confetti March new release blog hop. I'm very happy to be joining the Confetti Crew and guests for this month's release and it's a fantastic one! The complete hop list is posted below.  Your next stop will be Heather Hoffman's blog.
I have made 5 cards to share with you today using some of the fun new products.  All my cards are A2 size and I'll share a little bit about each and all the Reverse Confetti products I've used to create them.  The first two feature the absolutely adorable images from Spring Pals.

The Spring Pals set is just jam packed with images to create all kinds of cheerful spring cards. For my  Lucky Duck card I created an ink blended backdrop for a field of tulips.  The ducks, carrots, bunny, tulips, and sentiment are from the Spring Pals set.  The clouds are from Honey Bear.

For this next card, I used the Grid Stitched Tag to build a mini scene on.  I then used some of the new Darling Dots pattern paper as a backdrop behind the tag.

These next three cards all feature images from the So Super stamp set.  I had so much fun coloring these playful super hero characters.  The color scheme of purple, aqua, and orange was inspired by the colors in the Darling Dots paper pad.

I pulled out some previously released RC products to help create my super hero scenes.  I used the Diagonal Stitches Cover Panel Confetti Cuts to give the white background on two cards a bit of interest.

I used dies from the Flowers For Mom Confetti Cuts to create the decorative circles to spotlight the characters.  I also used the banner die and "mom" die from that same Confetti Cuts set.  After I die cut the banner to stamp the sentiments on, I used a Copic marker to add the orange borders.

On the super mom card I created a longer cityscape by stamping multiple times and piecing it together.  I strategically placed the images to cover up the seams.  For all three cards, I used the dark purple polka dot pattern from the Darling Dots paper pad.  And for a little embellishment, I added some tiny silver stars.
