MFT & Friends January Release
Hello everyone! Welcome to my blog. I'm very happy to be joining MFT and Friends for the January 2021 release. I can tell you that this release does not disappoint. I really enjoyed creating with some of the new stamps and dies and have two cards to share today. First up is a slimline Valentine's card.
I started with a kraft slimline card base (3.5" x 8.5"). I used white pigment ink with a cloud stencil and a blender brush to create the billowy white clouds over the entire card front.
I made a super cute little die cut hot air balloon with the Heart Air Balloon Die-namics. I stamped a polka dot pattern onto the heart balloon with the Splotchy Dots Background Stamp. I added the stitched lines to the balloon by hand with a white gel pen. No hot air balloon would be complete without a passenger, so I tucked a little koala into the balloon basket. This little guy comes from the Koala-ty Time Stamp Set.
For the greeting, I combined a large "love" die cut with skinny sentiment strips. I used the Free with $60 Loopy Love Die-namics for the word love. The stamped words, sending and your way, come from the Bitty Hugs & Kisses set. Lastly, I added some sequins and little die cut clouds and hearts to embellish the background.
This next card is A2 size and features the new Bitty Banner Alphabet with a really sweet image from Hug It Out.
I made a banner saying hugs to hang across the top of the card. It was very easy to create with the Bitty Banner Alphabet Die-namics.
I Copic colored the adorable little fox and bunny hugging along with several heart flowers images from Hug It Out. I created a very simple scene to go below the banner. To complete the scene, I stamped the sentiment which also comes from Hug It Out.
Both the images and sentiment were stamped with a Copic friendly brown ink. Copics used to color the images: fox - E13, E15, E17, E71, E74, E77, W1, R00; bunny - W0, W1, W3, R00; heart flowers - R14, R27, BG72
